Dynamo made the ULEB Cup final!

     Print Version

Dynamo made the ULEB Cup final!

In Tuesday's first game at home in Moscow, Dynamo was a resounding 92-81 winner over visiting Hapoel Jerusalem, the competition's champ two seasons ago, for a 2-0 series sweep. Mire Chatman led Dynamo to victory with 27 points, while Ruben Douglas added 21 and Dmitry Domani 19.

So Aris and Dynamo Moscow became the finalists of the ULEB Cup!

And they will meet in the ULEB Cup title game in Charleroi, Belgium on April 11, with the winner not only lifting a new trophy, but winning the right to join the Euroleague next season.

Dynamo Moscow Head Coach Dusan Ivkovic:
- We won the ULEB Cup semifinal! It was a very good game tonight on a high level.

Nothing was surprising for me, only one moment, when Erez Edelstein put Tapiro on the floor in the starting five to strengthen their offense. But we played great defense and we were successful stopping Jenkins and Mason - it was the key for the victory and we did it!

After the first quarter, the game became more balanced, but Mario Austin gave us a lot of problems, scoring 34 points.I dont care who will be our opponent in the final - Hemofarm or Aris. Anyway well seriously prepare for the final.

Hapoel Migdal Head Coach Erez Edelstein:

- I feel like we missed out, but Dynamo was better. We had a great European season and we're proud of the way that we played.

We had some fantastic battles. You can't win in Moscow when they go to the line 38 times and you only 10. Dynamo is an excellent team and played better, but we could have pulled it off if we made two or three more shots at the right time when we were making our comeback.
